Heather and I had a quiet Thanksgiving this year without a turkey… I know! It took us a little by surprise too, but not to worry. We still spent it with family and had a good time together eating homemade noodles. Here is a picture of our traditional holiday decorations and a gift my mother was given called “Brenda Bender” – a magnetic and bendable figurine. Yes, those are pigtails. It kind of looks like the old Domino’s Pizza character, The Noid. Does anyone remember that one? Anyway…
I’ve always enjoyed Thanksgiving because it’s the kind of holiday we can celebrate all year long. But it’s nice to have a day we can stop and take a moment to verbalize what we have to be thankful for – to share with those we love what produces gratitude in us.
